Adobe InDesign CS6 is not operating properly

I just updated my Mac to OS X El Capitan. I have Adobe Creative Suite CS6 on my computer. After the Update, I noticed Adobe InDesign CS6 was not working properly. For example, editing a paragraph...As I am typing in the paragraph with 3-5 sentences, text inside the text box disappears. The only way to bring the text back is click out the box and zoom in and/or out. Another glitch is that a window will pop up stating I am out of memory. This glitch never happen before the update. Can some tell me what I need to do to correct these issues?

Adobe does not support CS6 and it was not designed to work in 10.11. For the most part it will allow you to use it but it can be incompatible for others.

Barring an upgrade to Creative Cloud you can try the following

Boot into safe mode and run the application

Reset the application preferences by going to the root application icon (not a shortcut) and launch it while holding down SHIFT+CMD+OPT+CTRL

if you did this right you will be prompted to reset the prefs, if not you need to quit.

remove the app with the Adobe CS removal tool from their website and reinstall, then install the Mac Java 2015 from Apple

Download Java for OS X 2015-001

Create a new user account, boot into that account

any issues you encounter will not intentionally be fixed by either Apple or Adobe so you can ask but don't expect them to answer.
