Deleting all apps, but not settings

I would like to delete all of the apps off of my kids' iPad, but keep the settings. As a consequence of some bad choices, they've lost the use of the device for a month except for a couple of education apps. Since the device has over 200 apps installed, I am trying to figure out if there is a relatively easy way to delete all of the apps (I can reload the education ones), but keep all of the settings that I have for the device. I've backed up the iPad and figured I could restore all the apps once their month of purgatory is over. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to do this quickly?

Unfortunately there is no way to bulk delete Apps.

You could try to delete the Apps from Settings->General->Storage & iCloud Usage->Storage->Manage Storage, tap on each App, and then on "Delete App" to remove them.

Though it may be faster to just tap the ✖ in the corner of each App icon in the home screen. You only need to hold down on one App and then just go on a tapping frenzy.

Make sure Deleting Apps is not restricted.
