Check Spelling and Grammar

I am using OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.5 on 15in Mac Book Pro with 16 GB of Memory.

Before I send complex email I like to review my work and check for spelling and grammatical errors. I either do not understand how to best utilize the pre-send function or the function itself is primitive and not very helpful. Moreover, I have the system set to automatically check the all emails before they are sent, however sometimes the system sends them mid review, and/or when I am in the middle of correcting a word choice (not misspelling). Thus, I am requesting help on a) how pre-send review spelling and grammar; and b) how to set-up system to do a final check and allow me to verify without sending the document until I approve to send again.

Thanks in advance for your help,

James

Hi,

See also the Messages Menu and Keystrokes

The "Send" option is not lit up until an Addressee is entered.

I am curious about how you access the Spelling check and how you normally Send.

Apart from the Settings above I manually select the Spelling options from the Menu (not Keystrokes)

I also Send using the paper plane icon in the Toolbar (Again not Keystrokes).

In System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts I did once add this:-

It can be done for Menu item that don't have a Keystroke normally.
