It seems to be a very difficult job to transfer selected photos from my PC to my Apple devices, IPHone and Ipad. It is a very complicated mess. Help help help.
Lenovo desktop PC, Windows 10, my IPhone is ios 9.32; model 6splus. A Geek Squad tech helped me but even he was stymied for awheile. Why must I use ICloud to do this function.

You would only use iCloud if you are storing your photos in iCloud. If the photos are on your computer and you want to share them on your iPhone, you can do this with iCloud, but you can also sync the photos from the computer to the iOS device.
