Q: iTunes Purchases Not Playing Completely

A few songs that I recently purchased in the iTunes store are unable to play all the way through.  5-20 seconds of the song will play before abruptly skipping to the next track.  Additionally, after deleting one of the purchases in the hopes that redownloading it would solve the issue, the iTunes store acts finicky.  Based on how I am viewing the song in the store, the song will either appear available for purchase/addition to my wish list but will not allow me to add the song to my wish list, or the track will display that it is already purchased but will not allow me to redownload it.  I hope that the problem with these songs can be fixed quickly or that I can be reimbursed for my purchases.

    1. Please back up all data.

    2. Quit iTunes if it's running.

    3. Rebuild the iTunes Library.

If you use the iTunes Match service, and all tracks stop playing before the end, continue as below.

    4. Launch iTunes. In the Store menu, sign in to your iCloud account and then activate iTunes Match. Your music library should appear.

    5. Turn on the iCloud Download column.

    6. Click the iCloud icon next to a track name to download the track and play it. If the track plays normally, and you have enough space available, you can download all tracks. Select them all in the list, then right-click or control-click anywhere in the selection and choose Download from the popup menu.

Since I do not use iTunes Match, I followed the first three steps.  There was no change in the songs' lengths of playback after rebuilding the iTunes Library.  It seems to me that the easiest solution is a simple reimbursement for the bogus purchases.

For that, you'd need to contact iTunes customer service. Good luck.
