    Jun-22-16 Hello again Kurt;

    I had to let you know I found a solution I learned from OSXDaily.com.. by 1st using terminal to access from ~/Downloads

    it's a recovery trick using recover.sh(found on OSXDaily-recovery.sh.zip) this made a 650mb partition for me, on my

    mac mini w/16GB ram.. I then used my USB version of OS X 10.11.5 - where I copied all files from the Recovery Partition

    on THAT USB drive.. copying the folder - " com.apple.recovery.boot " to my NEW 650MB extended-journaled Partition

    I then Rebooted my Mac Mini w/16GB ram.. (I'm using a BOOT Manager called " rEFInd " rather than using Option key)

    on THAT BOOT Manager I can see all my partitions as icons.. including Recovery Partitions.. That I could NOT see

    using the Option Key method - I clicked on the NEW corrected Partition.. and VOILA! there it was!!

    By the way.. I'm writing you from OS X 10.11.5 EL Capitan - Thanks for all your input.. LL

    PS.. Hope this helps some other folks too!
