My IMac starts but then power goes out. If I slave it, Ihave the slave icon + another icon= circle with the image of a thunder in it ??
What is that ?

Shut down your Mac.
Wait ten seconds then restart while holding down the Option key. That should open the Startup Manager window where you can select the startup disk then click Restart.

I know how to select the start up disk
but then the same problem happens
Disk will start and after a few minutes, computer will go dead
will not restart (by pressing the start button) unless I unplug it beforehand
1. Reset the SMC, as per > Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
2. Startup in Safe Mode, as per > Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
3. Restart normally and if it reacts the same way.... then you will need to make a Service appointment at your local Apple Store or AASP. To find a local Apple Store or AASP, go to > https://locate.apple.com/
