Q: Macbook Pro 2012 JBL Headset help

Hello. I just got the JBL headset 300 Everest for my Birthday few weeks ago. I have tried everything. There is no update program to get this thing to work with my Mid MacBook Pro 2012 computer. The computer is a year old in July 2016. Bought 2015. Anyway, the weird thing is, JBL works automatic with the 2012 Ipad Mini 1st gen. I don't know why it won't work with the Mac (Laptop)? I spent tons of money on this, and don't want to not use the headset!  The bluetooth features are always on, but the connection will not work between JBL via Macbook Pro!  Please help me asap!

Thanks! Jilly

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Try Forgetting the JPB on your iPod and turn Bluetooth off on the iPad. . It is likely that it is try to conned to your iPod, not your Mac.

Also make sure that no other Bluetooth devices are within range.

just curious - does it connect to the jbl headset, then within 2-3 seconds disconnect? i have a 2012 macbook pro, and i've tried two different bluetooth speakers by two different makers, and that's what happens to me.

in general, OS X bluetooth software is just plagued by problems.
