Hi, I've no idea what the first symbol with 3 dots and an arrow pointed downwards is. It sometimes shows up. But only sometimes. Have no idea why, can't associate it with anything. Any ideas?

I can't click on it 😀 I can't right-click on it either. It simply is. Now, for instance, is gone 🙂
Keep Activity Monitor (from Utilities) open for a while. In View select 'All processes', select the PID tab . When that strange icon appears again, check the process that shows up at the top of the list. That should be the process that's connected to the process.
Yeah, that's a good idea, I suppose, it's just that it appears so rarely. And processes do tend to finish or appear, but at least I could search them online and rule the others out. Anyway, thanks. Perhaps someone will be able to identify the icon eventually 🙂
I eventually found that the symbol is related to libreoffice, or at least to the writer application from the libre office suite. When I start it and then start editing, it eventually shows up. When I exit the application, it suddenly disappears.
