Q: My I phone is being fixed.  I found an old I Phone 4 (I think) and want to activate it while my other is being worked on.  What do I do?  Call Verizon?  Or is there something I can do at home to re-activate is with my current number.

My I-Phone 6 is being repaired.  I found an old i-phone in the draw that I believe is a 4 and want to re-activate it with my current phone number whild I am without a phone.  Do I call Verizon?  Or is there a way I can activate it here at home?

If the device is unlocked, insert the SIM card in the device and you are good to go.

If the device is not unlocked, then you will have to contact with the original carrier and make them unlocked, so you can use whatever SIM card in it.

Also, you will need an adaptor since the iPhone 6 uses a different card size than the 4
