iPhone 5s problems with syncing some photos

have anode problem with iPhone 5S and syncing photos. Most photos back up automatically and normally and are available on my other devices, iPad and iMac, within a very short while. There seems to be no reason why some do not back up and I can see no obvious difference between the ones that back up and those that don't.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.2

Backups and syncing photos are two different things.

syncing:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB - Apple Support

Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all your devices - Apple Support


You stated you can view them on other devices, that isn't possible unless you restore other devices from your iPhone backup.
