Iphone 5c Screen not working properly

Have a new IPhone 5c. Since the first time I tried to use it, the screen does not work properly. For example, you click a button and it guides you to a different one, or the screen zooms in or out without your control. Is it possible to repair it without taking the device to a store?

Did you already try the general troubleshooting steps?

1. Force restart the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data.

2. In case this does not work, set it back to factory settings, without using the latest backup. Test the phone. If it works, restore from the backup.

3. If factory resetting does not help, get the phone checked by Apple:

Start a service request

Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider

Make an Apple Store appointment

I hate to break it to you, but you do not have a "new" iPhone 5c. The iPhone 5c was discontinued in September of 2015.

Assuming it's a hardware problem, which is what it sounds like, you may be able to arrange for mail in service if you don't want to take it to an Apple Store.

If you just bought it, I'd say your best bet is to take it back to wherever you got it.
