Q: Facetime on multiple iDevices with same ID without creating new emails

Is there an easy way to facetime multiple devices without the need to create more email addresses?

Thank you,

Tim

    "FaceTime multiple devices"?

    • At the same time?  No, there is no way to do that, regardless of how many email addresses are involved.  A FaceTime conversation is between exactly two devices.
    • Use the same email address on various FaceTime devices?  Yes,  you can do that.

Let me clarify a bit. What I want is to be able to do facetime with my kids who all share the same Apple ID. For example, if Dad wanted to call Son, what does Dad need to do? Both Dad and Son have the Ipads and no cellphone.

    Thank you.

Sharing the same Apple ID is not a good idea.  You can instead set up a Family Sharing plan as described here:

    Family Sharing - Apple Support

Each person can then have their own Apple ID which is governed by you.

Sharing an Apple ID, for example, leads to difficulties when using iMessage, as all devices will receive what is likely a text message intended for one recipient.
