Bluetooth not working between iPhone 6s and car

I've just upgraded from an iPhone 5s to a 6s. My car is a new skoda fabla with BT infotainment. The bluetooth worked fine via the 5s - music and phone - but since the upgrade it doesn't work. The car finds my phone but says it can't connect! I've changed the name of my phone in 'settings' and the car finds it under the new name but that's the end. Help! I've googled for fixes but a lot of it is gobbledegook for me. I just want a fix in plain language!

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2
