Camera woes

My camera does not read iTunes cards on my iMac anymore. How can this be fixed? Used to work fine. I have no problems on my iPad mini 2. I'm running El Capitan 10.11.5 and iTunes 12.4.1. 8GB of Memory. Computer is old but this is it's first problem. When it attempts to take the card code it shots it out and freezes it and doesn't credit my account. I have to edit my card info to what is supposed to be saved to be credited.
