Charging and sync issues

My 5s 3rd party charger recently stopped charging (said was charging but battery drained under light use). I tried a cheap cable I had and it acted accordingly so, until recently when I tried to sync with it and would act like it would plug and unplug. I checked the lightning port and tried to clean it, but there's still a bit of dust/dirt stuck on the sides but was always there. I have a feeling the port is at fault here but I would like your thoughts or suggestions. Fyi. it started the same day I updated to IOS 10 beta but it still existed the short while I downgraded to IOS 9.3.2

Hello Bob the asian,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important having your iPhone charge is to you!

Based on what you stated, it seems you may be having issues with the Lightning port and various cables. You can try the steps in this article on this issue, but you may need to get your device inspected and serviced by an Apple repair tech

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge

This link can help find a service provider if the above link and steps don't resolve, Apple - Find Locations - Country Selector or contact Apple for other options if one isn't close by, Apple - Support - Product Selection

Cheers!
