Q: why wont my app store let me update applications?

Every time I try to update things like pages, keynote, etc. the app store pops up the little box that says "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled." How do I fix this?

    Hi,

"This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."

The apps installed on your Mac have updates available or accepted from the Mac App store, but you purchased them using an Apple ID that isn't currently signed in. Sign in using the Apple ID that you initially used to purchase the apps. If you're not sure which Apple ID was used, check to see if anyone else who uses your Mac accepted these apps.
