How to show read/delivered messages on iphone 6plus, using the latest iOS ?

I am trying to find if my messages have been delivered or even read ?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.3.2

That's a great question about setting up Messages. You should get a little message under the iMessage you sent (Blue) that says delivered. You will only see Read if the message recipient has Read Receipts turned on. This is done by going to Settings> Messages> Send Read Receipts. Once you have this turned on, the people who send you messages will see when you are reading them. SMS messages (Green) will not show as read or delivered though, so keep that in mind.
