Notes disappeared. Everything.

I have Mavericks.

I did not do anything special- no updates or anything. Came back to work today and noticed that the computer had turned off so I restarted it.

Then I noticed ALL notes have disappeared in the Notes app.

Did some forum search and see that going into ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes may find data. But such file does not exist in the computer. Help, thanks in advance.

In mac pro osx mavericks ( 10.9.5 ) when you click on go > hold option key > library > containers > com.apple.notes > data is not there .

you can see this in new versions el capitan .

Regarding your issue notes are disappearing have you deleted the notes or in case if notes app is corrupted we enter in hidden library the same method as above and In preferences folder > find com.apple.notes.plist right click on it & move to trash .

Restart from apple logo & empty the trash .
