Q: iPhone SE lockup

Hi

Ive had a new iPhone SE for a week and already noticed that sometimes when i try to open an App it will just hang or lockup.

The App icon will grey out like its trying to load and then everything is unresponsive.

If i double tap the home button to try to kill some processes this sometimes appears sometimes doesnt. Sometimes things will start happening after 1 minute but last time i had to hold the power on button till i could eventually power it off

Is this a normal thing to happen? i would hope not on a 1 week old phone!

Should i be looking at replacing it as I'm not happy its happening after 1 week, this sort of thing happened on my old iPhone 5 16 gig after 3 years of use!

iPhone SE, iOS 9.3.2

This last part you explained is a telling sign that the issue you are now experiencing is relevant to whatever backup you may have used to restore your old content from your iPhone 5 to this SE. I strongly recommend that you attempt a factory restore of your iPhone and then you can reload desired contents manually, without the use of your backup, through iTunes or by signing back into your respective accounts on the iPhone. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

If you haven't loaded your photos to an archive on your computer, follow this article before restoring. Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

What you are experiencing is not the normal behavior.

Backing up your iPhone after having done these steps is still the way to go. It just seems that whatever software issue you had experienced on your old iPhone was also backed up along with everything else in your iPhone in this one case.
