So i have a 200 gig plan on iCloud drive - on my macbook i want to put a 55 gig file on it, and when i drag the folder from my macbook to the iCloud drive folder it says their is no room , but i have 150 gigs available? any ideas?

You can store any type of file in iCloud Drive, as long as it's less than 15 GB in size and you don't exceed your iCloud storage limit.
yes - but i am guessing because it is a folder bigger than 15 gigs?
You say a 55 GB "file" but then you say you are dragging a "folder". If it is a folder you may need to try dragging individual files. If it is a 55 GB file then it is over the limit.
