Q: No "Camera Roll" option for sharing

New iPhone user here. I have this problem on iOS 9.3.2 where I edit photos, attempt to share, and the original photo is shared instead of the edited photo.

When I get to Step 2 in "iPhoto for iOS: Edits made in iPhoto may not appear in other apps - Apple Support" there is no "Camera Roll" option to select.

Am I missing something?

The Camera Roll album will be hidden, if you are using iCloud Photo LIbrary.

What you can do instead is duplicating the edited photo. That will save a new copy to the camera roll and you can use this copy in other applications.  Use "Share > Duplicate".

Thank you for the suggestion, but when I do "Share > Duplicate" I get the same results. Trying to share the duplicate also results in the original photo being shared.

Which Sharing option are you using?

I just tried again -  edited a photo, used "Share duplicate" to duplicate the edited version, then mailed the copy (not the original) and also added the copy to a shared album.  In both cases to edited version has been shared and not the original.

Are you sure you shared the copy of the edited version and not the original?  The copy will be the version to the right when viewing the original and the copy side-by-side in the moments.

Here is what I am doing. It may simply be that I'm confusing the actions.

    1. Open "Photos" app.

    2. Select "Photos" at the bottom. (There is also "Shared" and "Albums".)

    3. The window title is "Years" and I select "2016".

    4. The window title is "Collections" and I select a location.

    5. The window title is "Moments" and  I select a photo to edit.

    6. I click "Edit", crop the photo , click "Done".

    7. The edited photo is displayed and I click the share icon (the square with the arrow pointing up).

    8. The apps that are available include "Message", "Mail", "Google Drive", "Gmail", etc. The actions that are available include "Copy", "Duplicate", "Slideshow", "AirPlay", etc. There is no "Camera Roll" or "Share duplicate" option anywhere.

    9. I select "Message" and the original photo shows up in the draft message.

When I tried the "Duplicate" option I selected both photos and both photos showed up in the message as the original.

Thank you very much for your help.

    In  step 8 select "Duplicate".

Go back to the Moments. In the Moments should be two identical photos side by side  - click select,  select the rightmost version, that should be the new copy.

Now click Share again. Now select Messages from the Share menu.

I tested again, the photo arrived tilted, as it should:

Nope, I can't get it to work. If I edit with Camera Plus it saves a new copy and that shares properly. If I can somehow record the problem in a video or GIF I'll post it so that you can see that I'm not completely crazy.
