Jun 17, 2016 9:33 AM in response to rojan36by turingtest2,Are there any clues from the error message or it as blunt as "this template is incompatible"?
Have you tried opening the template in Office for Mac 2011 and then saving it as a new template?

Jun 17, 2016 9:43 AM in response to turingtest2by rojan36,There are no error messages. I can see and even run the macros manually. My opening page does not pop up when started and in the other versions there is a menu bar that opens with the template, however when you open it in Office for Mac 2016 there is no hovering menu bar. I was hoping for a quick/easy fix, but I do not think so.

Jun 17, 2016 9:53 AM in response to rojan36by turingtest2,Ah, is it not running an AutoOpen macro? Perhaps those have been deprecated, or you have to cast some voodoo to enable them. I don't have access to Office for Mac myself, but that would be my initial thought.

Jun 17, 2016 10:04 AM in response to rojan36by turingtest2,In Word 2007 for Windows that is found using the top left icon > Word Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Security. Hopefully you can navigate to a similar control.
