Q: How can I connect my phone to my car to receive the texts on my car screen

MY car - Honda 2014 CRV- says that I can receive texts on my car screen. How do I adjust my phone settings to do this? I have the IPhone SE.

Navigate into Settings>Bluetooth on your iPhone and then tap on the ( i ) next to your car multimedia connection. You will see the option to "Show Notifications" and that way your system can receive your text messages if it is supported.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the blue i in a circle to the right of the car bluetooth device name and see what options are there. I have 2 vehicles that are different models and years but from the same manufacturer. One vehicle supports texts and the other does not. The one that does has the option on that screen. If that doesn't help you may want to check for specific instructions for your vehicle to see if that feature is supported for the vehicle/phone combination. Many manufacturers have a website for bluetooth instructions for their vehicles but your owner's manual and your dealer are other sources.

Seems like the forum is once again not showing some replies until after another reply is posted. Even though you were an hour ahead of me it wasn't visible to me until after I posted essentially the same information!

All good. If nothing else, it reaffirms the information to the OP.
