Can i connect my iPhone 5s to my macbook with bluetooth?

I doesn't connect. I just see the verification code on my screen of my iPhone. nothing else happens after I push connect.

Generally speaking, iPhones are not designed to connect to computers via bluetooth except for Personal hotspot (internet connection sharing)

What do you wish to accomplish by connecting them?

File Transfer via bluetooth is not possible. That is what AirDrop is for.

Ok. Thank you. the reason why I was testing it is that I did not see the pop up of my Iphone in my mac when I open Safari. further I was also not able do drop a picture via air drop to my Mac or my wife's iPhone. And yes we are connected to the same wifi router. So i taught maybe it is something with bluetooth. But some how i chanced something in FaceTime settings and i suddenly seems to work.
