Q: Macbook Pro mid-2010 graphics crash

I recently became aware that Apple had a repair program for the graphics crash issue on mid-2010 Macbook Pro.  Has anyone spoken to Apple about extending this program on an individual basis?  My MBP crashes multiple times per hour.  The link to the expiration notification is https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203554.

    I have doubts about your chances for success in reopening that program.

     

    You have the following options:

     

    You may have the logic board replaced but it will be at your expense.

     

    You may download and install the following application which will enable you to disengage the discrete GPU and operate with only the integrated one. This will be at the expense of graphics performance.
