How much have ipod's kwh improved?

Since the iPod's introduction in 2001, can you tell me how much improvement has taken place in terms of electricity consumption? What was the kwh consumption per lb., for the first models vs. current models? Or efficiency/lb.? Or absolute kwh consumed for the first iPods vs. current iPods?
