What are the battery specifications for the Apple Watch?

Battery capacity is:

• 38mm watch: 205 mAh
• 42mm watch: 246 mAh

In tests, Apple achieved 18 hours of battery life with the following usage: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth.

These and other battery performance tests (available via the link below) were carried out using a 38mm watch. 42mm models typically experience longer battery life (this difference has not been quantified).

In practical terms, you may find it most convenient to charge your watch nightly, overnight. The Lithium-ion battery can be charged whenever you want (there is no need to discharge it fully beforehand) and it will not suffer any harm from regular charging.
