I mostly watch movies on my Macbook Pro. If I am to download movie from iTunes, is it worth to just get the HD one or SD instead?

The Retina display on your MacBook has greater resolution than even your HD television. The MB screen proportions are also much closer to HD aspect ratio than that of SD,
In the end, however, if YOU don't see a worthwhile difference, then stick with SD.
Purchase one HD movie and view it. When you purchase an HD movie yo can also download the SD version at no additional cost. Then view the SD version and see if the added cost of the HD is worth it.
