keep location turned on child's phone
Locations services (and Find My Phone) allow me to track my children - but if they switch off location services; ti looses track...How can I lock location services on?

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions, and turn off Allow Changes, and check Locations Services. Also, make sure that you write down the passcode that you use for Restrictions, because if you forget it, or lose it, you will have to restore the iPhone to Factory to wipe the phone clean to clear it, and you cannot use your backup, because the passcode is part of the backup. There is no other way to reset it.

O need to do the same thing so I did what was said here, and my daughter can still just stop sharing if she wants to using find my friends??? Any idea how to make it so she can not stop sharing her location with me!
Ok thanks I found that out. Still the parental controls/ restrictions are so hard to figure out I turned on her find my iPhone family share, followed the instructions and still my phone does not recognize her- on her phone it shows location is being shared with me--- I'm going back to android I think this would have been done in no time. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
To prevent a child from turning off Find My Friends, see this: iOS: How to Prevent Your Child from Disabling Find My Friends - The Mac Observer
Sharing location via Find My Friends is something completely different than what is being talked about here. Find My Friends is totally voluntary and controlled by the user. There is nothing you can do to stop her from sharing if you are following location in that manner. This thread was in regards to Find My iPhone use.
Thanks Chris!!
