New SSD hard drive on MBP take longer to boot than older smaller size SSD?
I upgraded my HD with a 1TB from an original 250 HD - BOTH SSD drives. The new one takes longer to boot. It takes about 10-15 seconds of a black screen before the Apple logo and boot screen comes up. From that point, the new drive boots and loads programs faster than the older SSD. When I turned on the computer with the old SSD, I heard the "sound" and the apple logo came up immediately.
I upgraded by cloning my old drive using SUPER DUPER from shirt pocket by putting the new HD in an enclosure to clone. It went fine. However, its takes longer to see the apple logo and I was wondering if some setting needs to be changed. Everything else works fine!!!
Thanks for any help someone can provide.
