I cant sign in to my iphone, contiuously asking for my facetime password and then doesnt accept the password that IS correct

The phone is no longer on a network and I wanted clean it off for my Daughter to use. But once I recharged it I ran into this issue every since. I thought if I went on line and rest the pass word it would reset something in the phone but that obviously doesn't work. IF any has a solution please a girl out.
