Jun 19, 2016 11:26 AM in response to Raicyaby carvermon,Thanks - but the device with the remote app does not appear in my older iTunes, nor does iTunes appear in the remote app. I'm sure it would easily work if I updated iTunes, but I am unwilling to do so yet for a variety of reasons. What I want to know is if it is somehow POSSIBLE to pair Remote to iTunes 10.7.

Jun 19, 2016 11:47 AM in response to stevejobsfan0123by carvermon,Thank you for the hope! However, I have signed into home sharing on the mac, and in the Remote app. When I get the 4 digit code to pair, the iPhone does not appear in iTunes on the mac to enter the code. How did you achieve pairing?

Jun 21, 2016 12:06 PM in response to stevejobsfan0123by carvermon,Hi again,
I got it working through Home Sharing by switching wifi networks on the phone. My Mac is connected by ethernet to my new modem/router, and I was using that router's wifi network for the iPhone - so I imagined that would be considered the same network that iTunes was on. However, I also have a Time Capsule/router connected to the Mac that was my original wifi network. Switching to the old network got Remote working. I do wonder if there is a way to make the app work on the newer network, as it is my preferred one. Can't understand why both aren't usable for this. Thought it might be the order of connections, but the new router is the one directly connected to the Mac.
