Jun 18, 2016 10:38 AM in response to bhorv67by mabaeyens,Does that happen also when you back it up using iTunes?
Plug in to power and go to Settings > iCloud > Backup > Backup > Backup Now and see whether it shows an error also.

Jun 18, 2016 10:55 AM in response to mabaeyensby bhorv67,Connecting to iTunes works fine, I'm able to backup locally. However connecting power and trying to backup to iCloud, I still get the message - 'The last backup could not be completed'.

Jun 18, 2016 11:07 AM in response to mabaeyensby bhorv67,I'm not trying to restore the device, just backup to iCloud which hasn't appeared to be working since March. Backing up to a computer is not preferred.

Jun 18, 2016 11:11 AM in response to bhorv67by mabaeyens,I know it's not preferred, but it's one way of testing the fix until you find the solution and make sure you have all your data safe while doing so. If as many point in that thread and googling the issue, removing the current iCloud backup solves it, at least you have one local copy if anything else fails.

Jun 18, 2016 11:11 AM in response to bhorv67by FishingAddict,Two simple things to try would be to first power off and then back on the phone, and then try backing up using a different WiFi network. It is possible that your router, firewall, or ISP is causing a network connectivity issue to Apple's backup servers. It's simple enough to rule this out by going to a friends house and give it a try from there prior to attempting other solutions.

Jun 18, 2016 12:32 PM in response to FishingAddictby bhorv67,Thanks for the suggestion - There are 3 iPhones in the house, only one is having the issue, which rules out the network issue possibility.
We have a family iTunes account setup, so everyone has their own ID. None of the accounts are close to capacity.
looking around the forum for possible solutions, may have to go to the retail store for help.
