criteo

How can I disable Criteo? I have tried opt out, deleting all cookies, and always blocking cookies. Nothing works. surely there must be a way to get rid to it.

Is your iPad jailbroken? If not where are you seeing this, in Safari? If yes close Safari completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview pane until it disappears from the screen. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

I had already tried this. It only comes up in Safari and my iPad is not jailbroken. Anymore suggestions I find it really annoying when is difficult to opt out when I did not authorise it in the first place

Bear with me. If Criteo only comes up on Safari as a pop up, you likely have a Criteo cookie in Safari or are visiting and clicking on a site that has a Criteo. Please try this again in exactly this order. The order makes a difference.

Close Safari completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview pane until it disappears from the screen. The click on Home once.

Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

Then do a forced restart again (a little double kill here but nonetheless).

Then go to Settings > Safari > and turn Suggestions to Off (both Safari and Search Engine), Block Pop-ups ON, Block Cookies: Allow from Websites I Visit.

See it that helps now.

If not, you may have to restore your iPad as New.
