Apple warranty to second owner

Does Apple warranty transfers to the second owner? Also is a bill necessary always for availing warranty coverage. What happens if no bill while buying it as a second owner?

Warranty is tied to the device, not the owner. If a second hand device is bought which is still covered by warranty it will be honored. No receipt is necessary to get warranty service, as the warranty status is identified by the device's serial number.

You can enter the device's serial number in the following website to see the current Warranty status of the device.
