Q: syncing issues between PC & 5c

I'm not very tech savvy, but i will attempt to describe my issues:

My iTunes library on my home PC, and iPhone use to sync completely perfectly each and every time i bought iTunes music

Now, I have duplicates on my phone, and at least half or more of what is supposed to be on my phone is not, and has not been for some time.

Is this a syncing or settings or default setting issue that may be solved with a simple check of my current settings ?

Also, any music in iTunes library on my PC that was not purchased as a download, such as ripping CDs to my iTunes library do not appear on my phone.

I have only 1 playlist on my 5c, and it is listed as a "purchased" (purchase history) playlist, which i would never want something that large as a playlist

Playlists on my PC do not appear on my 5c

My recent car purchase is a NO CD player option, so i am missing out on tons of music because they won't go from my PC to my cell

My recent car has apple play, and i have no clue what that means or if i need to use it at all

Please help ... Music is life and life is Music

Thanks for your time

If away from my PC, i will be checking back regularly about posts from the community in regards to these issues

Oh,  one last thing ... for example, a CD with 10 tracks can be where it is supposed to be and the way it is supposed to be on my PC, and on my phone, there may be anywhere from 5 - 10 tracks completely missing like they were never there to begin with

As i stated, i am old school, and not hip to the technology age ... when everything was syncing and downloading without issues, things made sense, but now, i am frustrated and confused, and hopeful of finding a solution within the community

Thanks everyone

iPhone 5c, version is 9.3.2(13F69) -OS unknown

    Hi bnaberry!

I can understand you're having some issues with syncing music on your iPhone. I know it's important to be able so sync your music properly and I'm happy to provide some suggestions to get this resolved.  First, you can check out this support article to verify that the settings for syncing music are set up properly in iTunes:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB

If everything appears to be set up correctly for syncing, you can try clicking the iPhone icon in iTunes, then click on Music under Settings on the left side of iTunes.  From there, uncheck "Sync Music", then click Apply. Then check "Sync Music" again to re-sync the music on the iPhone.

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities.

    Cheers!
