Need "LEGACY JAVA SE 6 RUNTIME".

Need the LEGACY JAVA SE 6 RUNTIME as some softwares like Adobe products require it first.

But in Apple java download page, no clear list or guide to understand for normal users what to download exactly based on user's requirements.

On top, this particular page says "This article is about OLDER, UNSUPPORTED JAVA. Get it from Oracle." Next it says, this update uninstalls apple java applets etc... Very confusing 😕.

Any help please? Want to get a secure & malware free copy of the same.

You can download the legacy Java SE 6 from this Apple website:

Download Java for OS X 2015-001

Some software is hard-wired to require this old, unsupported version. If you download it from the link above, you can also install the newest version, for all other requirements.

That's the correct link. If your particular software requires SE 6, you can install it, or you can update the software. Not much of a choice, but that's what it is.

Good to know. Will install now and hopefully it is secure and won't install unnecessary stuffs ( like bonjour, malware etc which I or adobe don't require to install ).
