Q: Getting rid of doubles?

On a busy job, many many photos.  Notice in the confusion that I must have done a double capture/import of scores of photos.  Wondering if there is a way I can delete the doubles I've pulled in ... a batch delete if possible?

Just wondering,

Aperture has not a built-in duplicate detector.  It is screening for duplicates when you import the images.  Did you have "Do not import duplicates" enabled in the import presets?

If you want Aperture to remove the duplicates you would have to export all recently imported photos with "File > Export > Original" and the name format preset "Original filename", then delete them from the library,   and then reimport the photos with "Do not import duplicates" enabled.

Another option would be to use a third party application to screen your library for duplicates.

Duplicate Annihilator or Photo Sweeper are safe to use on an Aperture library.
