What I'd recommend doing first is just double-checking to be sure your login info for your Apple ID is working. You can check this by going to the Apple ID website to make sure you can log in.
If you can log in, let the community know what happens when the sign-in hangs up. For example does it say "Waiting on activation" or any other message?
