Q: I am looking for help with Aperture

I am crafting a book in Aperture on my desktop.  My machine has a a 3.5 gig Intel core 7 processor and 32 gig of memory.  I am operating on the 10.11.5 system.

 

When I enter text in the book, it disappears when it is not selected.  I wonder if it is a layering problem but I do not know how to bring it to the front.  I am not having the same issues with photos in the book.

 

Any help is appreciated

    How are you planning to get your book printed?

    Apple is no longer supporting print products for Aperture since the end of March.

    Which theme are you using, and which page layout, when this happens? Then we could try to reproduce your problem.

    It could either be a layer problem as you suspect, or the wrong font color. Selected text is displayed in a different color.

     

    With the text selected, check the text color in this panel:
