    Open the Mac App Store, click on the Updates tab, and install any Safari or security updates which appear. Safari can’t be updated past 6.1.6 on Lion.

    Safari version is tied to the OS X you have installed. You can use Firefox and Chrome is you need the latest browsers.

     

    If your Mac is capable, have you considered upgrading to El Capitan? Lion no longer receives security updates.

     

    Be sure to check if your software is compatible. Most software has free updates but some updaters can be expensive.
