Q: cannot download previously purchased harry potter audiobooks

i have been unable to download my previously purchased harry potter audiobooks when i upgraded my phone recently. i am able to download all my other books and audiobooks, with the exception of harry potter. i download from the cloud and then nothing - they never appear. i did a quick google search and found this article about it here:

as a test, i went into the iBooks app on my phone and did a search for harry potter audiobooks and noticed the entire collection but with completely new cover art. i was forced to purchase the audiobook (i only downloaded one to test since these are not trial prices, sorcerer's stone was ~ $35 alone). i am assuming my previous purchased audiobooks are no longer recognized (i know that sometimes when something was missing - either music or movie - that i previously purchased and i had to "buy" it again, it just downloaded and recognized i had previously purchased and i was not charged).

 

so the question is: do i have to re-purchase ALL of my harry potter audiobooks again and pay for them - again? if so, can i get a complete refund for my previous purchases which are now basically "bricked"?

 

i have seen other folks post similar issues but with no answers from apple or the community.

 

p.s. = for what it's worth, i was able to download my audiobooks on my mac mini without issue (since that is through iTunes and not iBooks). i am just not able to download on my iOS devices at all.
