Pad 2 with the latest software iOS 9.3.2 will not sync with my Mac mini the little symbol swirls around on the Mac mini and says at the top waiting for sync to start but the iPad does not respond at all the computer has asked me if I wanted to remove the last sync and have said yes several times now ( this was on a Windows PC ) and it eventually times out and just

Update iTunes on your PC to 12.4.1 if you don't have it. The reboot both devices and try again.

HI thanks for the reply I've just checked both my PC and Mac are on the latest versions of iTunes this is the ultimate irony because I bought the Mac because thought it would communicate with all my stuff better than a PC would, but the PC is still syncing all fine just wondering if that's the problem the Mac won't over write the PC's sync ? maybe
Just to be sure, is iTunes on the Mac 12.4.1 or did it just say iTunes is up to date?
Edit: You should only use one computer as the main syncing computer. If you sync from more than one it is likely to overwrite data, particularly if it was purchased from iTunes or other services.
To be precise it says on the Mac 12.4.1.6
and the PC says 12.4.1

That is the latest, no problems with either of them. I recommend deciding which of the two computers you prefer to sync with and stick to that one only. Try following the steps in the article I linked above.
