iTunes is telling me to update my Apple Podcast app in the iTunes store (instead of the usual update area in iTunes), but it's nowhere to be found. I've tried searching in every term possible.

You're seeing this warning in error. Ignore it. If it bothers you, delete the app from iTunes (not your device).
