Jun 19, 2016 8:05 PM in response to SLEICHINGby Hamoud234,If you created an Apple Id when you first set up your iPod touch, the Apple Id can be used with iMessage. In case you don’t know, an Apple Id is your email address and password. I think you are trying to send a message to that person’s Apple Id. Am I correct?

Jun 19, 2016 8:30 PM in response to Hamoud234by SLEICHING,I know and understand Apple ID for the most part. What I meant is I had been using Imessage to send text messages to someones phone number all off a sudden today when I go to enter their phone number the numbers turn red and when you click on the phone number itself it says it is no longer registered to Imessage but I am able to send a message to this person using their email address. If one wasnt registered wouldnt they both not be? Is this some sort of error? I know this person's number hasnt changed and that they also have an Apple device.

Jun 19, 2016 8:46 PM in response to SLEICHINGby Hamoud234,I don’t think that’s an error. Did you ask the person if they accidentally blocked you? They can always unblock you by going to settings>messages>blocked. Then they find the contact they want to unblock and swipe down to unblock it. Also the email address would be registered with iMessage but the phone number wouldn't. Or maybe they canceled their phone plan?

Jun 21, 2016 1:07 AM in response to SLEICHINGby lllaass,The color depends upon the service sending the message:
colors are blue (for iMessages) and green (for SMS)
