Q: No Audio In Certain Apps

My Photos app and my Facebook app are not playing back sound on new videos. I checked my Facebook settings, and I had given the app permission to access the microphone, yet my Live videos have no sound - just some buzzing. I also checked my regular videos, and they were working fine until maybe two days ago. Again, buzzing. Siri works, Voice Memos work.... hard-rebooted... same issue. Can't figure out why Help! Try this

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support

If that does not help

Backup to iTunes

Then restore as NEW using iTunes

Do not restore the backup

See if the problem resolves

If it does - restore backup - if the problem returns - then chances are your content is corrupted somehow

Try this
Go to YouTube
Start a video - then increase the volume using the volume button
See if that fixes the issue

It took some time to decide to go this route, but I've done everything as you suggested and reset my phone, set up as new, and the issue was still there. I restored my backup, but of course it still did not work. The microphone works fine on a phone call or a voice memo, but no matter what video app I use, I get a buzzing noise as playback.... Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

By the way, the very first time this happened was the very first time I did a live Facebook feed in June. Just Buzz.

I should have replied to you directly; my apologies. I tried everything in the order that was suggested, and I did not get any audio when I use a Video Recording App after restoring as new from iTunes. Voice Memos work, phone calls work, speakerphone works. I get a buzzing noise when I play back any video I make. Hear example I just made here: https://youtu.be/3T054xAptsg
