Q: Serial number not accepted in chat for magic mouse 2

Hey

The tracking options are not coming up for my new Magic Mouse 2, I have tried to solve the problem, but just not getting anywhere.... Decided to use Apple Chat, but is telling me the serial number I am using is not valid, but I am typing it directly from the box, any help would be appreciated

Hello Theresa,

You haven't told us which item you have and what OS you operate; perhaps you could enter it in your profile when you can.

If you are using anything other than 10.11 El Capitan, with Magic mouse 2 you need to upgrade to El Capitan as the mouse you have was designed for that OS and subsequent ones from now onwards.
