Q: Some albums stop playing after first song

Hi all,

 

I have this problem with iTunes that for some albums, iTunes will stop playback after the first song.

It is actually still in 'playing' mode but the second song will never start.

Clicking another song, then going back to the second song 'resolves' the issue.

 

Same issue I see on playlists a lot of times, after the first song, it simply gets stuck.

This problem I see in iTunes (12.4.1.6) on my MacBooks (10.11.5) and on my iPhone6S (OS9.3.2).

 

Any help is much appreciated

    Hello poopdood,

     

    Thanks for asking your question here in the Apple Communities. Sometimes the songs in iTunes aren't checked and in the album view, the songs will stop after the last song that is checked, is played. It can be the first song, or any other song that is not checked. 

     

    Please check this article from Apple that has pictures under the section "Prevent a song from playing" to give an example of the checkbox to select, or deselect:

     iTunes 12 for Mac: Play songs.
