Failed to send message when sending videos

For the past couple of months I have been getting this message of "message failed to send" & "not delivered" whenever I try to send videos. This happens through Imessage and just regular messages. i have tried to turn on and off IMessage, and I have tried to send the video directly though photos, and directly trough messages. Nothing is working please help!!

Hello Savanni.x,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

If I understand correctly, you are unable to send any videos using Messages. I know what a great way sending videos is to share things with friends and family.

The directions for sending videos are:

Send photo or video messages

To send a photo or video from the Messages app, follow these steps:

  1. In a messages conversation, tap User uploaded file.
  2. Tap Photo Library and select a saved photo or video. Or tap Take Photo or Video to make a new photo or video.
  3. If you chose Photo Library, tap the library that has the photo or video that you want to send. Tap the photo or video, then tap Choose. If you chose Take Photo or Video, the camera app will open. Take a photo or video, then tap Use Photo or Use Video.
  4. When you're ready, tap Send.

More information can be found here: Send photo, video, or audio messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you are unable to send any videos using this method, then I would suggest the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Messages app: Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. If the issue continues after restarting the App, then shutting off and restarting the iPhone would be the next step: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  3. If the problem continues, you want to make sure you have a current backup of everything on your iPhone. If you follow this link, you will find instructions on how to do a backup: How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes.
  4. It is possible that something has become corrupted that is causing the problem. Once the backup is finished, I would suggest to reset all settings. Reset All Settings resets preference files that may be having issues. This step will not delete your contacts or photos or any personal information. It does remove all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, and removes your Touch ID & Passcode. You Reset all Settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Cheers!
